Elementary Education Transfer Major
Gain the knowledge, skills and experiences needed to begin a career as a highly effective elementary teacher. You'll graduate with a practical understanding of child development and teacher education. You will also learn how to work with parents and other caregivers to provide the academic, social, physical and emotional support needed for child development and growth. This program fulfills the first two years of a four-year degree. The College has agreements in place with four-year colleges to ensure your credits transfer.

Enrollment Process
- Apply for admission.
- Submit official high school, high school equivalency and/or college transcripts to the Admissions Office of the campus you plan to attend.
- Complete ACCUPLACER® reading and writing assessment and ALEKS® math assessment for course placement. Assessments may be waived based on previous college coursework or submission of valid ACT®, or SAT® test scores. Reading and writing scores are valid for three years, and math scores are valid for two years.
