Cash
Cash gifts provide an opportunity to make an immediate impact on the College.
Pledge
Made over a period of time, helps sustain funding for College programs and services provided to students and our communities. Pledges can be over a period of five years.
In-Kind Gifts
Donations of College approved equipment, goods or services.
Matching Gift
If your employer, or your spouse's employer, offers a program that matches all or a part of qualifying gifts, you can double or even triple the value of your gift. Check with your Human Resources department to see if your employer matches gifts. Companies that we have worked with so far include Prudential Financial, Piper Jaffray, New York Life, Lockheed Martin, Leidos, Ameriprise, Wells Fargo and Alliant Energy.
Donor Advised Funds
A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable giving instrument created to manage charitable gifts on behalf of donors. When you make a gift to the NICC Foundation, DAF contributions qualify for very favorable tax benefits - may be able to take a federal income tax charitable deduction. Most assets in the DAF can grow tax-free.
If you have a donor advised fund, DAF Direct enables you to recommend grants to the NICC Foundation directly from your DAF. Find your sponsoring organization in the DAF Direct widget's drop down menu and type Northeast Iowa Community College Foundation in the designation field.
NICC Foundation tax identification number: 42-1178729
Appreciated Assets
Appreciated stocks, bonds, and mutual funds yield additional tax savings, allowing you to deduct the securities current market value and eliminate capital gains tax.
Grain/Livestock
Gifts of corn, soybeans, cattle, or hogs are viable options for those involved in agriculture and can provide significant tax benefits.
