Sales professionals are the engines of successful organizations, building and maintaining relationships in which their customers feel valued, respected and heard. Certified sales professionals may command higher wages and earn promotions more readily than their peers by earning a certification. 

Northeast Iowa Community College is now offering a new Professional Sales career pathway certificate program that could be the start of a new career or a promotion.

In only 32 hours of class time, students gain the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the sales industry. The curriculum was crafted with input from area employers, and it focuses on sales techniques and the sales cycle. Participants will gain the necessary knowledge through lectures, case studies and role playing, which will prepare them for the next step in their career. The certificate also includes a networking event and etiquette class for students to sharpen their skills in real-world scenarios.

NICC will offer the Professional Sales career pathway certificate program Mondays and Thursdays, April 13-June 5, from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Classes are held at the Town Clock Business Center in Dubuque.

In partnership with Greater Dubuque Development Corporation and Opportunity Dubuque, this program provides short-term, hands-on training that leads to entry-level employment. Students may qualify for tuition assistance and be able to complete training at little to no cost.
