Northeast Iowa Community College Business and Community Solutions partnered with the City of Oelwein and Oelwein Chamber and Area Development to create a new continuing education certificate for area professionals.
The Oelwein LEAD Certificate is designed for individuals to enhance, develop and optimize one's leadership potential. Covering both business skills and relationship enhancement, this series offers half-day sessions that give participants extensive training in an efficient and convenient time frame.
“I am excited to see Oelwein work toward building local leaders,” Dylan Mulfinger, City of Oelwein’s city administrator, said. “Oelwein has a lot going on right now, and the more we can invest in our people, the more we can keep pushing forward.”
“Providing leadership training to employees in our local businesses helps the businesses, as well as the leadership for our community in the future,” Deb Howard, City of Oelwein’s executive director, said. “The participants in this program show great potential for being amazing leaders and this will help advance that potential.”
The instructors, Paulette Milewski and Wendy Knight, bring over 55 years of experience between them in sales, customer service, healthcare, higher education and much more.
Most individuals possess leadership qualities but may struggle to harness them effectively. Refine your leadership skills today! To learn more about or register for the certificate training, visit nicc.edu/solutions/97985.
