The Iowa Junior College Clay Target Championships concluded a successful season for the NICC Cougars, whose athletes grew closer as a team this fall, said Head Coach Anthony Sisneros.
“The wind gusts played a role in every team’s score, and our student-athletes fought through the conditions and were able to come away with a sixth-place finish as a team. Even though the season seemed short, it was exciting to see everyone’s improvement and the bonds that were created between our student-athletes over the last few months. The accomplishments we did have are a testament to all the hard work from everyone involved with the team; from the athletes, coaches, volunteers, parents and other school staff. Thanks for an exciting season. Can’t wait to see what next season has in store,” Sisneros said.
“Even though it was short, the season was fantastic! I’m glad I got to shoot with this team and I’m looking forward to shooting again next year” athlete Ashley Fischer said.
“Thank you to everyone who made this possible and to everyone that supported us!,” stated NICC athlete Tristan Lewison. “It was a fun year and I'm glad I got to meet some great people I could call my teammates.”
